Partha Sharma joined the firm in 2023. While at the firm, he has, among other accomplishments, obtained a $5 million settlement for a client convicted of a robbery he did not commit; prepared an amici brief for the Innocence Project and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in the New York Court of Appeals; and been part of the team litigating the John Walker and Estate of Darryl Boyd wrongful conviction cases in the Western District of New York, in which juries have awarded $28 million and $80 million in verdicts respectively. Partha holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. in political science and philosophy from Columbia College.

While in law school, Partha interned at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., was a Fair and Just Prosecution summer fellow in the Conviction Integrity Unit of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, and also interned at the firm. At Yale, Partha was a member of the Criminal Justice Advocacy Clinic, a teaching assistant to Professor Dan M. Kahan for first-year criminal law, and a research assistant to Emily Bazelon, part of a team that launched the Prison Letters Project. Prior to attending law school, Partha was the firm’s paralegal from 2017 to 2020, during which time he assisted extensively in the firm’s litigation of civil rights and post-conviction criminal cases.
